Man and 17-year-old girl in custody after River North altercation ends in stabbing

A 24-year-old man and a 17-year-old girl were in custody in connection with a stabbing late Sunday in Chicago’s River North neighborhood, police said.

The pair allegedly stabbed a 22-year-old man about 9:20 p.m. in the 700 block of North State Street after a fight, police said.

The three got into an argument that turned physical after the 22-year-old passed the two others on the sidewalk. The 24-year-old and 17-year-old punched the man, knocking him to the ground, and then stabbed him in the back, according to police…
