Viking Track and Field
The Siuslaw Vikings are sending a strong contingent of 19 athletes—13 boys and six girls—to the OSAA 3A State Track and Field Championships at Hayward Field in Eugene, beginning Thursday, May 25. Five Vikings qualified in a team-high four events: Justin Allen, Aidell Cadet, Michael Felkins, Kale Jensen, and Will Johnson. Allen will compete in the 110 hurdles, high jump, pole vault, and triple jump. Felkins will take part in the 110 hurdles, 300 hurdles (as a wild card), long jump, and 4×100 relay. Jensen is also set for four events—110 hurdles, 300 hurdles, high jump, and long jump. Johnson will compete in the pole vault, long jump, triple jump, and the 4×100.
