Two major roadways will undergo reconstruction, announced by NYS D.O.T.

SYRACUSE, N.Y. — New York State Department of Transportation announced two major roadways will undergo reconstruction, as part of a $40 million infrastructure improvement project.

State Route 370 in the Town of Salina and Village of Liverpool will undergo a significant repaving. $13.8 million in federal funds will be allotted to this project for a full-depth reconstruction of the road. That includes the improvement and/or replacement of non-compliant curb ramps and sections of sidewalks. Crosswalk signal enhancements will also be added.

In the towns of Brutus and Cato, the bridge carrying State Route 34 over the Erie Canal/Seneca River will be replaced with a stronger, more resilient structure. According to the State D.O.T. over 3,000 vehicles use that bridge daily, which was built back in 1963…
