TRF Camp Build by Rosendin Inspires Construction Careers

The Rosendin Foundation, a dedicated 501(c)(3) non-profit committed to positively impacting communities and empowering individuals, brought TRF Camp Build, a free summer camp designed to ignite the joy of building in middle school students, to McKinney this summer. TRF Camp Build took place for the first time on May 17 at Modular Power Solutions, 400 Harry McKillop Blvd.

TRF Camp Build was a unique, free co-ed day camp designed for current 6th-8th graders. The camp engaged an equal number of girls and boys, totaling 15 local students from Allen, Dallas, Farmersville, Frisco, McKinney, Sherman, and Van Alstyne. Under the expert guidance of skilled professionals, students engaged in a variety of activities, including personal safety training, pipe bending, Building Information Modeling (BIM), and lamp wiring.

“Through TRF Camp Build, The Foundation brought together professionals from Modular Power Solutions and the IBEW to empower McKinney’s youth with practical skills and ignited their passion for building, all at no cost to families,” said Jolsna Thomas, President of The Rosendin Foundation. “This program served as a gateway for students to explore the electrical construction industry, fostering innovation and growth in our community for years to come.”
