‘Dozens of nerds in city hall’ will help Ann Arbor grow responsibly, mayor says

ANN ARBOR, MI — Ann Arbor officials are continuing to respond to questions and criticisms of the city’s plan to welcome more diverse and denser housing throughout town.

One issue at the center of debate: the city’s capacity to handle potentially tens of thousands more housing units city officials say may be possible with zoning changes.

Local radio host Lucy Ann Lance of WLBY 1290 AM asked Mayor Christopher Taylor in a recent interview if the city has the money for added public infrastructure needed to support that growth and how it could be done without overtaxing the community…
