CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Detectives are investigating after a man was fatally struck while riding a lawn mower at night in northwest Charlotte.
Police responded to reports of an accident with injuries near the 5700 block of Freedom Drive, on May 20 around 9 p.m.
When officers arrived, they found an unresponsive man, 63-year-old Dexter Leon Monk, lying in the middle of the road with life-threatening injuries and a 2001 Chrysler Town & Country with damage to the front of the vehicle.
