Cleveland middle school students complain of throat aches after chemical released

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) – Cleveland middle school students were complaining of throat irritation after a chemical was released into the air Tuesday.

According to the Cleveland Fire Department (CFD), crews were called to Orchard S.T.E.M. School, a middle school on the 4200 block of Bailey Avenue, on Tuesday afternoon.

The CFD said a student threw a dry chemical fire extinguisher. The extinguisher then release some of the chemical into the air.
