DAYTON, Ohio — Dayton Police have introduced a new real-time crime center aimed at enhancing their response to criminal activities. The center, equipped with a 54-camera surveillance system, has already contributed to 21 felony arrests and provided evidence for nearly 30 criminal cases in just two months, according to Major Paul Saunders of the Dayton Police Department.
“The idea behind this room is that we have analysts and technicians that can identify crimes as they occur, and then provide actionable intelligence,” said Saunders.
