Police: Battle Creek 18-year-old hurt in overnight shooting

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (WOOD) — An 18-year-old was hurt in an overnight shooting, Battle Creek police say.

Just after midnight Tuesday, multiple residents called 911 about a shooting that happened in the 100 block of Arbor Point Drive near Jackson Street, the city of Battle Creek said in a release. Officers with the Battle Creek Police Department were sent to the scene.

About an hour later, an 18-year-old from Battle Creek arrive at a local hospital with a gunshot wound. His injuries are not considered life-threatening, officials say…
