Santa Rosa man arrested in assault of dependent adult

Santa Rosa police on Tuesday arrested a man accused of committing lewd acts with a developmentally disabled adult at a business where he worked as an instructional aide.

Apolinario Araki “Junior” Santos, 61, of Santa Rosa, was booked into Sonoma County jail on suspicion of lewd acts on a dependent adult by a caretaker, police said.

The victim is a member of an educational program that helps people with developmental disabilities ages 18 to 22 learn job and life skills through partnerships with local employers, police said.
