New data show shootings were down across most of New York in the first quarter of 2025, but Syracuse saw an increase.
The State Division of Criminal Justice Services reports Syracuse had 8 more shootings involving injury, 10 more shooting victims and two more shooting deaths compared to the first quarter of 2024.
