KCSO: Sweep leads to 20 arrests and removal of 4,000 pounds of debris

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — 20 people were arrested, and about 4,000 pounds of debris were removed after a multi-agency sweep targeting those loitering and/or trespassing.

The Kern County Sheriff’s Office said on May 23, 2025, deputies from the Kern County Sheriff’s Office Metropolitan Patrol Division conducted a sweep of people loitering and/or trespassing in areas that received complaints from businesses and community members.
