Controlled burn to close part of Lincoln’s Pioneers Park

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Lincoln Parks and Recreation staff are conducting a controlled burn at the western end of Pioneers Park on Thursday.

In a press release, the city said about 65 acres would be burned near the bison viewing area from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The Pioneers Park Suspension and Prairie Corridor Trail bridges will be closed during that time…
