Gilbert students collect over 2K cereal boxes to feed families in need

GILBERT, AZ (AZFamily) — Students at a Gilbert charter school hosted a food drive to help families in need, and that is Something Good!

Arizona’s Family first reported in early May that students at San Tan Charter School in Gilbert hosted a cereal drive to help families experiencing homelessness. The food drive benefitted children and families living at House of Refuge, who may not have access to school breakfast or lunches during summertime.

The drive was a huge success! First through third grade, students collected cereal boxes from family and friends, all donated to the Mesa nonprofit. In total, students collected over 2,000 boxes, which will help fill the bellies of other children and parents…
