WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (WGHP) — A man and two teens are facing felony charges after a police chase in Winston-Salem that involved a Winston-Salem Police Department vehicle being rammed on Wednesday night.
At around 8:32 p.m. on Wednesday, officers with the WSPD’s Gun Crime Reduction Unit and Gang Unit tried to pull over a vehicle that was being driven by 21-year-old Raequan Brooks with 19-year-old passengers Dakor Sumler and Kerry Miller III in the area of Noel Drive and University Parkway.
Investigators say that Brooks rammed a WSPD car in response to the officers’ attempt to pull him over and drove away northbound.
The chase led into Forsyth County and Sumler and Miller allegedly threw guns out of the car while Brooks drove in a reckless manner, according to police.
