LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – Now that it’s summer, many parents may be adding making breakfast and lunch to their to-do list, tacking on extra financial stress to their lives.
Lisa Phipps legally adopted four of her grandchildren eight years ago and has relied on places like Center for People to help feed them through the summer months.
“As long as they can get three meals a day, I’m good, but they like coming here because they get all these cakes and croissants and all the little goodies … it helps suffice through the week,” Phipps said…
