SPOKANE, Wash. — Local pilots Rachael Skirvin and Sarah Roark, also known by their call signs Glitter Trix and Jet Pink, are teaming up for a cross-country race. When they needed a team name, they wanted to pay tribute to their Spokane roots.
“Showcasing that this is where the terminus is as well, and, we’re queens!” Skirvin explained.
Skirvin is a full-time flight instructor while also building up flight hours to eventually work as a Medevac pilot, known regionally as Life Flight. Aviation wasn’t Roark’s first career, but flying is practically in her DNA…
