BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A new claim filed against the County of Kern accused officials of mishandling the crash that resulted in the death of a motorcyclist who was fleeing from California Highway Patrol officers in December.
The family of the motorcyclist, Clay Uriah McLean, claimed they found McLean’s remains at the scene of the crash weeks after the incident, which resulted in “severe trauma” for the family.
The claim also alleged the county didn’t tell the family McLean was missing body parts.
