Greene Co Sheriff warns of increased speed enforcement that also targets various secondary roads

STANARDSVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – The Greene County Sheriff’s Office is very publicly cracking down on speeding throughout the county. The sheriff’s office posted on social media Thursday of a speed enforcement initiative on Matthew Mill Road and indicated just three hours into the operation, they had issued 21 tickets. The post continues that “word on the street suggests that Rt 29 and Rt 33 are being given a wide berth due to our heightened visibility.
