The mother of one of 9 boys a former Chattanooga teacher is accused of molesting says her son became withdrawn in the weeks and months after his experience with him.
Testimony continued Friday in the trial of Duane Sanders, who was teaching first grade at Wallace A. Smith Elementary in Ooltewah. Sanders faces 19 criminal counts, including continuous sexual abuse of a child and aggravated sexual battery.
Prosecutors say Sanders had a “good boys club,” where boys’ good behavior was rewarded with a chance to sit in his lap. It was while the child was on Sanders’ lap that he engaged in inappropriate and criminal behavior, according to prosecutors…
