BOTETOURT COUNTY, Va. (WSET) — Botetourt County Public Schools is actively investigating a cybersecurity incident that compromised its network earlier this month.
A school official sent ABC13 the following statement:
“Botetourt County Public Schools continues to investigate a cybersecurity incident on our network earlier this month. When we discovered the issue, we immediately implemented security measures and engaged leading cybersecurity experts to assist in assessing and resolving the situation. We are also coordinating with state and federal law enforcement authorities to determine the source of the incident.…
