Ann Arbor schools mull major bus changes with new $45M transportation contract

ANN ARBOR, MI – Changes may be coming to the buses that make the rounds to pick up Ann Arbor public school students next fall.

The Ann Arbor School Board is looking at a new $45.4 million transportation contract with Durham School Services to manage operations of the district’s fleet of 133 buses.

The agreement, which appeared before officials during the May 21 board meeting for first briefing, covers three years with an option for two more, as well as a 2% contingency for field trips and extracurricular activities that vary year to year.
