A man from Virginia is accused of assaulting a Holland Township woman several times in December 2024, then leaving the state of Michigan for a period of time to avoid police, according to the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office.
Christian Montijo, 32, of Manassas, Virginia, has been charged with assault with intent to commit great bodily harm less than murder, two counts of felonious assault, domestic violence, third-degree fleeing and eluding a police officer, felony firearm and reckless driving.
Montijo was arraigned via video Friday, May 30, in 58th District Court by Judge Judy Mulder. His bond was set at $150,000 cash/surety. According to OCSO, he remains lodged at the Ottawa County Jail…
