Charlotte church hosts first gun take back event, hopes to send a message

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) – June is Gun Violence Awareness Month. Myers Park Presbyterian Church is looking to send an important message to the community and end violence in the area.

They’re partnering with RAWtools South take back and transform firearms, into something that’s beautiful.

Associate Pastor for discipleship Reverend Dr. John Magnuson says, “Everybody has a story connected with guns. Whether that’s a positive experience, a negative experience, through TV, video games, whatever we all have a story with guns.”…
