Six local food banks receive over 28k pounds of food from generous donation

Six food pantries in Southwest Michigan received much-needed help in the form of over 28,800 pounds of nonperishable food.

The generous donation came from the Kalamazoo Stake of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, with support from volunteers, missionaries, and others.

The donation started when the headquarters of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints announced they would send a semi truck full of food to the area, according to organizers.
