State Museum briefly evacuated after tour bus strikes building

ALBANY — The New York State Museum was briefly evacuated Sunday afternoon after a tour bus appeared to have backed into the building off Madison Avenue.

The coach bus struck the building at 1:45 p.m. and no one was injured, the museum’s spokesperson Jaclyn Keegan said in a statement.

The bus, operated by Schenectady-based Wade Tours, could be seen on the sidewalk near the museum entrance with the rear of the vehicle touching an opening in the building…
