BEACHWOOD, Ohio — On National Cancer Survivors Day, The Gathering Place raised nearly $350,000 at its 25th annual Race for the Place in Beachwood Sunday morning.
About 2,700 people took part in the 5K and 1-mile walk, raising close to $340,000 for The Gathering Place, which provides free cancer support services to people impacted by cancer in Northeast Ohio.
