Northern Ohio Weather Alert: 80s and Sunshine to Start June, Rain Returns by Wednesday Night

Cleveland, Ohio – Sunshine and rising temperatures will greet much of northern Ohio to kick off June, with highs reaching the low to mid-80s by midweek before rain chances return late Wednesday.

According to the National Weather Service in Cleveland, Sunday’s highs will hover in the mid to upper 60s, including 66°F in Akron and Youngstown, 68°F in Sandusky, and 70°F in Toledo. A warming trend begins Monday, pushing most cities into the 70s before peaking in the 80s by Tuesday and Wednesday. Erie and Ashtabula may top out around 80°F, while inland cities like Fremont and Mount Vernon are expected to hit 85°F or higher.

The stretch of dry, sunny days will give way to unsettled weather beginning Wednesday night. Rain is expected to develop and linger into Friday, which may affect morning commutes and outdoor plans across the region.
