Cartel members are among 80 arrested in S.C. nightclub bust

CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Charleston County sheriff says 80 people were arrested over the weekend during a multi-agency targeted operation on a nightclub.

Deputies, along with the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division and other federal, state and local partners, performed a sting operation on the Alamo, which officials say was an unlicensed bar off Highway 78. around 3 a.m. Sunday.

One person was injured in a shooting Monday morning at an apartment complex off Wrightsboro Road in a neighborhood that’s historically been troubled with violent crime.
