Cascade Twp holds free summer concert series

CASCADE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Cascade Township is holding its first-ever Concerts in Cascade series this summer at Friendship Park.

Concerts in Cascade will be held on three Thursdays in the summer: June 12, July 17 and Aug. 7. The performances begin at 6:30 p.m. under the Friendship Park pavilion at 2870 Jacksmith Ave SE. Guests are asked to bring their own blanket or lawn chair.

The lineup includes:

  • June 12 is Electric Flower Co.: Known as Michigan’s most electric party band, Electric Flower Co. is a 4-piece, female-fronted powerhouse known for their hit-after-hit set list of classic rock, pop, and modern dance favorites.
  • July 17 is Lee Murdock: A noted Great Lakes folk musician, Murdock blends storytelling with blues, folk, and maritime traditions through songs rich with regional history.
  • Aug. 7 is Chloe Kimes: A Michigan-born Americana artist now based in Nashville, Kimes offers a timeless, alt-country sound backed by her spirited band and tireless voice.
