Long lines persist at NCDMVs with Saturday walk-ins

RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — The North Carolina Division of Motor Vehicles’ Saturday walk-in service hours returned this weekend.

The DMV is expanding from 16 to 20 offices, offering new walk-in services every Saturday from 8 a.m. until noon for the next few weeks.

While the governor called on the General Assembly to hire more DMV workers, a larger number of DMV offices are now open on Saturdays to try to deal with the growing number of people waiting in long lines for multiple hours…
