SAN YSIDRO, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) — A number of lanes on southbound Interstate 5 at the San Ysidro Port of Entry are experiencing traffic delays Monday due to a demonstration in Mexico, according to California Highway Patrol.
A Sig Alert was issued for congestion caused by the demonstration around 11 a.m. as the protest began on the other side of the border.

As reported by Baja News, the demonstration is part of a nationwide strike called for by the National Coordinator of Education Workers, as they are pressing for better wages and other benefits.
