Five Onondaga Co. agencies to receive $1.8M for domestic violence response time

SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Five Onondaga County agencies are set to receive more than $1.8 million from New York State to help strengthen public safety response times to domestic violence.

The money is part of $20.2 million that will be distributed across the state for the effort. 17 counties are set to receive the funding.

It will allow the State Division of Criminal Justice Services to support 87 law enforcement agencies and community-based organizations through the Statewide Targeted Reductions in Intimate Partner Violence, or STRIVE, initiative, Governor Kathy Hochul’s Office said…
