TOLEDO, Ohio — The Toledo Police Department just concluded its national “Click It or Ticket” campaign. While the enforcement blitz has ended, officers said the goal wasn’t just issuing tickets, but making the city safer as a whole.
Over the past two weeks, Toledoans may have noticed an increased police presence on local roads. The initiative was part of a nationwide effort to crack down on traffic violations, with a particular focus on speeding, seatbelt use and impaired driving.
“The blitz is ‘Click It or Ticket’ and runs through May 19 through June 1,” said Sgt. Aaron Riter of the Toledo Police Department. “The objective is to bring awareness and high visibility enforcement.”…
