‘Major renovation’ planned for ABQ BioPark Children’s Fantasy Garden

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The ABQ BioPark Children’s Fantasy Garden, which first opened at the Botanic Garden in 2001, will undergo a “major renovation,” officials announced Monday.

The garden’s infrastructure has aged and no longer meets the needs of all visitors, according to the BioPark. Because of that, the space will be reimagined to improve accessibility, update infrastructure, and expand opportunities for creativity and learning.

“Our goal is to honor what people love about the Fantasy Garden while creating a more inclusive and inspiring environment,” ABQ BioPark Associate Director Matthew Peterson stated in a news release.. “We’re inviting the community to help shape the next chapter of this special place.”…
