Storms expected to bring cooler temps after weekend record highs

The heatwave has crashed! After record heat this weekend, two different storms are going to give us a break from the hot weather.

A weak cold front moving across northern Utah will knock temps down about 15 degrees lower than yesterday. However, it will still be a warm day, with temperatures hovering close to average for early June.

Showers and thunderstorms are expected across southern Utah. They’re most likely in the morning, but are possible this afternoon & evening. If it stays mostly cloudy as expected, storms could be fairly weak. If cloud cover breaks up, it could get warm enough to fuel stronger storms, which could bring heavy rain & an increased chance of flash flooding…
