CVS Pharmacy to close 2 Capital Region stores. As of this morning CVS Pharmacy has more than 9,000 store locations open and operating in the United States. Soon there will be 2 fewer locations in New York’s Capital Region.
According to Newsweek, the CVS Pharmacy chain of drugstores, in an effort to restructure and streamline operations, will be closing 271 store locations nationwide. Among the closures in the northeast, 1 is in Massachusetts, 1 in Pennsylvania and 5 are in New York.
There have been so many national chain store closings announced in recent months including Dollar General, Walgreens and TD Bank, to name a few. Other brands such as Sam’s Club and Walmart are going through a remodel and eliminating self-checkout lanes…
