A drunk driving suspect who hit a mailbox and blew out a tire was found sleeping in her vehicle at the Sumter County Service Center located a Pinellas Plaza in The Villages.
An officer responded to the county facility on Powell Road in The Villages regarding a reckless driver at 12:55 p.m. Saturday, according to an arrest report from the Wildwood Police Department. The complainant advised that 45-year-old Kimberly Zeiler was driving all over the road and had hit the curb several times, blowing out one of the tires on the passenger side of the vehicle.
The complainant also saw Zeiler pull into the parking lot of the service center, get out of the vehicle and stumble around. She seemed to be looking at the extent of the damage to her vehicle. The complainant also identified the vehicle as a white Nissan, the report said.
The report noted an officer spoke to a witness who stated the vehicle struck a mailbox at a residence on Powell Road. The property owner estimated it would cost $60 to repair the mailbox…
