After a five-year hiatus, the Gilroy Garlic Festival is making its grand return this summer, but getting tickets for the event might be a challenge.
Tickets for the three-day event went on sale on Saturday and sold out completely by 6 p.m., according to the Marin Independent Journal. Event planners for the festival said that tickets “sold out fast” in an Instagram post shared Sunday and added that they planned to set up a ticket exchange platform for guests to sell or buy tickets.
Ticket sales were limited to 3,000 per day for the event’s July 25 to July 27 return. According to the Journal, the restricted ticket count was due to the limited space at the Gilroy Gardens Theme Park, which is where the event is being hosted this year.
