Lincoln Police officers issue 168 citations in special school zone traffic enforcement

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – The Lincoln Police Department released the results for the traffic enforcement project they conducted at the end of the school year on Monday.

Officers worked overtime from May 1-15 and cracked down on dangerous driving in school zones during active school zone times. The results do not include citations written during officers’ normal shifts.
