CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) – High clouds will increase later this afternoon and evening ahead of our next weather maker. Temperatures will soar into the upper 80s inland, low 80s at the beaches.
A coastal storm will bring an increase in clouds and chance of rain Wednesday into Wednesday night and Thursday. Some of this rain may be heavy at times. Breezy conditions are likely along the coast too which will lead to an increased risk of rip currents at the beaches. Several inches of rain is possible during this timeframe, but will be highly dependent on the track of this system.
This storm system will pull away by Friday leading to a return to hotter, sunnier and drier weather although a few showers and storms will linger into the weekend…
