CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) – The City of Charlottesville is reaching its hand into its back-up savings.
The city reports to have around $30 million sitting idly in the Capital Improvement Program (CIP) Contingency Fund. A lot of that money stems the $22 million budget surplus leftover from the FY24 Budget.
Proposed now to council is to take out $8.7 million from the CIP and allocate it towards various capital improvement projects…
