SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA – Wildfires burning across the Canadian Prairies have lofted a plume of smoke thousands of miles south and west, far enough to reach Northern California’s upper atmosphere.
On Sunday night the Bay Area Air Quality Management District (BAAQMD) issued an air-quality advisory for Monday and Tuesday after satellite imagery showed the smoke band sliding over the region.
