TOLEDO, Ohio — A man convicted in the March 2024 shooting death of a 15-year-old Toledo girl was sentenced Monday.
Robert Shields III, 19, entered an Alford plea May 21 and was found guilty of aggravated burglary and involuntary manslaughter in the death of 15-year-old Jaylah Perry.
He agreed to a sentence of 25 to 30-and-a-half years on one count of aggravated burglary and one count of involuntary manslaughter, each carrying a three-year firearm specification to be served consecutively.
