A windy, mild, and muggy morning is prevailing across North Texas. The humidity will persist for quite some time. Temperatures are currently in the low to mid-70s, with a south wind gusting over 25 mph. A complex of dying storms is being monitored, which will move in from the west by mid to late morning. Some areas will experience rain with a few rumbles of thunder, but nothing severe is expected. Breaks in the clouds are anticipated this afternoon, with daytime highs near 90°F.
Later this afternoon, more storms will form to the west of the Dallas-Fort Worth area and move through the area during the evening. Hail, damaging wind, and a low tornado threat are the expected hazards. Another complex of storms will form along a cold front, which will move through around midnight.
