15-year-old identified in fatal Aurora shooting

The Arapahoe County Coroner’s Office identified the 15-year-old girl who was shot and killed outside of an Aurora fire station Sunday morning.

K’Tahna Jordin Smith was found shot and killed around 12:30 a.m. Sunday morning near Aurora Fire Rescue Station 2, located at 12600. E Hoffman Blvd. Her manner of death was classified as a homicide by the coroner’s office, according to a news release Monday.

Aurora firefighters were returning from a call to the firehouse and found two people — including Smith and a 20-year-old woman — shot and injured outside, according to a news release from the Aurora Police Department…
