Albany democratic mayoral forum addresses mental health, homelessness

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) – A mayoral candidate forum was held in the City of Albany. It was an opportunity for the democratic primary candidates to share their views on policies they would tackle if they’re elected mayor.

The “Meet the Albany Mayoral Candidates” forum on Tuesday was hosted by the not-for-profit behavioral health agency, Rehabilitation Support Services, downtown at The Renaissance Hotel.

The four mayoral candidates include Albany County Legislator for District 1 Carolyn McLaughlin, Albany Common Council President Corey Ellis, City of Albany Auditor Dorcey Applyrs and one with no political background Dan Cerutti, who has been a business manager for two fortune 500 tech companies.

The focus of this forum was mental health services and homelessness. The candidates were asked how they would address the absence of services after regular business hours…
