COLUMBUS, Ohio — After four decades in the skies, longtime MedFlight nurse Patty Smith has officially ended her final shift.
Smith’s career began in 1985, when she was one of just 14 trauma flight nurses in the state of Ohio. Over the years, she served with both MedFlight and LifeFlight, eventually becoming the senior flight nurse within the company.
