The church announced on Tuesday, June 3, that the new hymnbook — titled “Hymns—For Home and Church” — is expected to be printed in up to 50 languages and feature about 375 songs.
The plans to create a new hymnbook were first announced in 2018, with church leaders asking members to send in original songs and fill out a questionnaire regarding the church’s music. Church leaders reported that more than 17,000 songs were submitted.
