Still looking for clues to Megan Dyer-Maclean’s death 7 years later

JOHNSONVILLE, N.Y. (WNYT)- The Rensselaer County Sheriff’s Office said seven years later they are still committed to finding out what happened to Megan Dyer-Maclean.

“We know someone out there holds a piece of the puzzle,” the sheriff’s office said in a Facebook post Wednesday morning. “We believe there’s someone who can help bring closure, accountability, and peace to Megan’s loved ones.”

Dyer-Maclean was found aside an old railroad bed in Johnsonville with dangerous levels of strychnine in her body. But, after years of chasing leads, conducting interviews and analyzing evidence, investigators have yet to discover the truth surrounding her death.

In 2024, the Sheriff’s Office also called for the public’s help in solving Dyer-Maclean’s death…
